Bertelsmann, through their NY subsidiary G+J, merged FC with Inc magazine. My job was to create a single content management platform and to merge the two different technology teams with two completely different systems. We succeeded in cutting overheads by $50k per month.

Fast Company was one of the beacons of business change in the US during and after the internet boom. I designed and built their initial web sites, growing and managing a professional web team. Directed all in-house software developments. Wrote a complete CMS and Community forum system. Created and executed a "cyber cafe" in several cities across the country, working with the Live Events department. Provided tech support for print production, and was involved in video productions using Final Cut Pro. Developed and implemented an online game for IBM, had minor advisory roles with Adobe and Netscape, and was an invited speaker to the New England Publishers Association. Credited by Seth Godin (Vice-President of Permission Marketing at Yahoo!, author of the Viral Marketing concept) as introducing the "send-to-a-friend" concept to online publishing.
